This was our most excting game of the season, in terms of close score . We
won 79-76. We were up 77-74 with one minute left on defense. My guy scored
a really lucky shot that hit the back of the rim and bounced around and
fell in. This guy was funny because one time I elbowed him by acident and
the next time on free throws he said "Number 13, could you please be
careful with the elbows?" very politely and sheepishly. So anyway, the
score was 77-76 with us with the ball and we didn't score. Then they ahad
the ball and missed a shot with about 15 seconds left, which I got the
rebound for! That was huge. Since we hadn't been rebounding very well that
game. Then I passed to Cory who could have sent it the length of the court
to Post but instead got fouled and made both his free throws. They missed
a three at the buzzer to tie it and we won! Remember my
dunk against Occidental before? Well the guy I stole the ball from had
about 20 points this game when he normally averages 6! Zuh? But Mark
Holland made up for it with 6 three pointers and 50% free throw shooting
for 28 points. Cory picked up three fouls on one possession and then got
on fire, and we all sang doo doo do doo (doo doo) on the way back from
Tommy's burger.
