We came out versus P-P very timid I guess.. or something. It had been a long time since we'd done some real five on five, and we got down 7-0 to start the half. Not due to poor defense on our part or their ability to score in the half court, but due to about 4 turnovers in a row. Once we started taking care of the ball we got some points and they couldn't really score on us very well in the half court. Bamer and I dominated the glass, but Jeff had to sit out a long time due to foul trouble. Even though I fouled out with 3.5 minutes to go I wasn't really in foul trouble until then. We were already up by 11 at that point. The way we won this game was through driving it to the basket and getting fouled. Mark shot an amazing 5-13 from the line, and not once, but TWICE did we have someone else shoot Remo's free throws since the refs weren't paying attention! At the beginning of the game Remo had to take off his shirt to adjust his truss. Varstiy lost by 23 after us but we won by 9. It looked like about 4 of the five guys who played for P-P were varsity bench warmers too.
