This was our first game back from winter break. After only four practices, we really weren't ready to play. We did have two new players who were overseas during the first semester. Both Juniors, Scott Marshall played Varsity each of the two previous years, and is a very good guard, something I felt we needed. The other, Mike Kellerman played JV as a freshman, but didn't play at all last year. He is a big man, about 6'5" (my height) and allowed coach to have someone to sub for me. Thus my minutes decreased some. Cal. Baptist jumped on us in the first half, getting up by 20 points at half time. We fought back to only lose by 8. Because school hadn't actually started yet, hardly anyone got to see my poor performance! Max and Leonard are now gone, and Sean, Ryan T., Scott A., Scott M. and I started. James Cannaday (from Varsity) played with us again. and will for every game the rest of the season, along with Scott and Mike.
