This was probably the greatest game I've had in my three years here. It was the most clutch, longest game we've won, even including some of those my freshman year. We beat undefeated Chapman in double overtime with the crowd behind us to send us into the winter break with a winning record. We never led until the second overtime! There were two very clutch plays (at least) that got us there. First, we were down 64-66 with six seconds left in regulation (I had fouled out with 4:30 to go in regulation), and they had only four fouls. We called two time outs, and when we got the ball in, they fouled us stopping the clock at four seconds. Then, they called a time out. Then we got the ball in and they fouled us with three seconds left. Then they called another time out. The next fould sent us to the line. So we got the ball into Derek Bomb who faked right, drove left, elevated and finger-rolled the ball at the buzzer to tie it! Needless to say we were ecstatic!

Unfortunately, by the one minute mark in the first overtime we were down by three. That's when Nick got real clutch and dribbled off a screen to pop a three at the top of the key, nothing but net. We stopped them in part thanks to the noise from the fans and the bench, but threw the ball away with two seconds left. They could not score from full court in two seconds however, so we went into double overtime. Thanks to two layups from Nick and some good drives and penetration by Remo we were up by one with 28 seconds and the ball. That's when they fouled Remo, who (clutchly) made both free throws. We were up by three, and they held the ball for the last shot. Which was a three from the corner, with one second left, which just clanked off the back of the rim! We had won.

What was even more amazing is we had been down by more than 10 points with five minutes left in regulation. Another anecdote: Number 23 was stupid. He pushed me in the back one play and I said "ref, he pushed me in the back," to which 23 replied, "I pushed yo momma in the back!" I couldn't believe he said that in seriousness! Later when we were shooting a free throw, 23 told the ref to "call it both ways," to which he replied "look at the score board (they had only 2 fouls to our 11), you better shut up." All his teammates said, "yeah, shut up!"
